A woman walking down the street in Brooklyn got sucker punched by a stranger and it was all caught on camera. Police are searching for the suspect.

The man at the corner of the screen appears to be just walking down the sidewalk but then turns toward a woman crossing the street and punches her right in the head, sending her straight to the ground. He takes one glance at the 27-year-old and casually walks off.
“It’s horrific, it’s scary, as a woman you know it’s very scary,” said Basirat Subair, Crown Heights.
What’s even more frightening for this mother is where it happened…the corner of Nostrand Avenue and Crown Street, an area often crowded with kids, including her own.
“My son goes to the school right here, so it’s horrible it’s happening so close to a school area and it looks like it was just random, doesn’t look like he knew her or anything like that,” said Subair.
Police believe it was random that the two are strangers and didn’t have any type of argument prior to the punch. Several Crown Heights residents were shown the video and the response was overwhelming.
“Totally unacceptable, no man should be putting his hands on a woman.” Joseph Rose, Crown Heights.
“I don’t know what I would do if someone did that to my wife and kids,” said Rose.
“I’m scared, I’m scared to walk at night.”

When this woman was told that this happened in broad daylight around noon on a Saturday earlier this month, this was her reaction:
“Oh my god, I don’t know…when I’m walking I keep looking, if I see anybody too close to me I just move over from there.”

If you take a close look, the suspect was last seen wearing a very distinctive blue and white jacket that reads the word “Yale.”
“Its a shame, it’s just a shame. I hope they catch him,” said Anthony, a Crown Heights resident.
The hope for many is that someone looks at these posters, recognizes the suspect, and reports it to police, to prevent this from happening again.
Police say the victim drove herself to Kingsbrook Hospital where she was treated for a head injury.
