An Altoona man will spend six months to two years behind bars for Aggravated Cruelty to Animals charges.

According to Central PA Humane Society’s Facebook page, Najat Rowles was found guilty on those charges for beating a cat with a shoe for misbehaving.

The cat, named Trinity, suffered a massive concussion, multiple fractures to the cranial area, internal bleeding, a fractured tooth, lacerated lips/tongue & lost a fair amount of blood.

Trinity has been recovering from her injuries for the past five months.

She’s now ready to find her forever home.

A fund in her name has been created to help animals in need of medical attention from cruelty or neglect.
