UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Sophomore Andrew Sturtz (Buffalo, N.Y.) registered his sixth career multi-goal game as the seventh ranked Penn State Nittany Lions defeated No. 20 Michigan, 6-1, in their B1G Conference opener this evening from Pegula Ice Arena.

The win improves the Nittany Lions record to 12-1-1 overall and 1-0-0-0 in conference action while stretching their nation’s best winning streak and unbeaten streak to 10 and 12 games, respectively. The Wolverines falls to 6-6-1 on the year and 0-1-0-0 in B1G play.

Both teams return tomorrow to Pegula Ice Arena for the second of four season match-ups, but the final at Pegula Ice Arena as the puck drops at 7 p.m.
