Verizon is hoping to improve cell service in Centre County by building a new cell tower.

The College Township Council began considering allowing that 50-foot tall tower to be built on the Meyer Dairy farm property earlier this month.

If it’s built, it will improve service for residents in the Hills Plazza area.

The plan is expected to be reviewed by the township planning commission on April 2nd.

The township council plans to hold a review of the plan and a public hearing during their meeting on April 18th.
