Tyrone Hospital released a document on Friday outlining its position in the dispute over therapy services for special needs children.
On Monday, ProCare Physical Therapy filed suit against the hospital, its former partner in We Care Therapy Services in Altoona. The two organizations founded We Care Therapy in 2015 after Easter Seals closed its Altoona clinic.
The lawsuit alleges the hospital owes ProCare more than $750,000 in therapy fees. In its outline of the issues, Tyrone Hospital said that the two parties have been negotiating for two months to resolve it.
The hospital said it’s retained legal counsel to address the ProCare suit and that what it termed a business dispute, will be settled once all of the facts are presented, reviewed, and confirmed.
And the hospital added that the most important aspect in the matter is assuring the continuity of care for the patients and families being treated at We Care.
