Sixteen animals were killed at a home in Howard, Centre County after a neighbor’s dog allegedly got loose and attacked.
Animal owner Tyler Poorman said he woke up to a gruesome scene on Saturday. The husky allegedly got loose from its owners home, made her way up to the animals pens and started to attack.
Eleven registered 4H rabbits were killed, along with a goose and four ducks.
Poorman has been raising animals since he was eight years old as a part of 4H. He said the loss is upsetting.
“They’re not really animals, they’re pretty much family,” Poorman said. “You raise them, you see them grow up.”
State Police at Rockview are investigating the incident. No word if charges will be filed.
The husky was still on the property Saturday morning. Poorman said she was taken to Pets Come First.
