Lambcakes is set to open on March 1st.

 

The owner, Chad Lamb, said his business has really kicked off in the last year. Now, he’s ready to open up the storefront on Franklin Street.

 

He’s bringing in a new commercial oven and mixers, which will help increase production.

 

Lamb said he’s excited to open the store downtown and he disagrees with people who may say the Central Business District is dead.   

 

“I just see empty storefronts as an opportunity for someone else to come in and take advantage of the situation and grow and flourish by doing what they love,” Lamb said.

 

Eventually, the owner said he’ll need to hire a few part-time employees to help around the store. If business builds, he might even need another cake decorator or baker.
