A local community may be getting a new urgent care facility. A plan by Penn Highlands Healthcare to  open a Q-Care center in Clearfield County has won provisional approval from the Lawrence Township Supervisors.

The facility, at 1900 River Road, would  offer non-emergency care for minor illnesses  like sore throats, minor cuts, and sprains. It would also include diagnostic services, such as X-rays, and blood tests.

The Q-Care center would be located in a former bank building, which Penn Highlands plans to double in size. It’s across from the Big Lots Plaza.
