Megan Painter of Fine Wine & Good Spirits shares some cocktails perfect for celebrating the luck of the Irish!

Irish Coffee

·           1 ½ oz Irish whiskey

·           6 oz hot, strong coffee

·           Whipped cream

·           Optional: ¾ oz Irish cream, or a teaspoon of brown sugar

Pour the whiskey into a heat-safe Irish coffee mug. Add coffee, brown sugar or Irish cream, if desired, and top with whipped cream. Possible garnish: coffee beans, coffee grinds, brown sugar sprinkles or green crème de menthe drizzles.

Gingermelon Martini

·           2 oz vodka

·           ½ oz Midori

·           ½ oz Domaine De Canton Ginger Liqueur

·           ½ oz lemon juice

·           Dash Angostura bitters

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Pour in all the ingredients and shake until chilled. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass, and garnish with a lemon twist.

Grasshopper

·           ¾ oz green crème de menthe

·           ¾ oz white crème de cacao

·           ¾ oz light cream

·           Mint sprig

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in all ingredients. Shake until chilled, and strain the mixture into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint.

Shamrock Juice

·           ½ oz gin

·           ½ oz tequila

·           ½ oz light rum

·           ½ oz vodka

·           1 oz blue Curaçao

·           4 oz fresh squeezed orange juice

·           Orange wheel

·           Maraschino cherry

Fill a hurricane glass with ice. Combine first five ingredients and top off with the orange juice. Garnish with an orange wheel and cherries.
