The Altoona Area School District’s new building is still under construction, but students at the school are leaving their mark on the new building.
Kids got to sign one of the last steel beams to go up for the project.
The building has been under construction since last summer.
One of the students says she’s excited to be a part of it.
“It’s really exciting that we get to put our name on something that will be in the school, the new school for however many years the new school is up and that…I’ll know that I’m a part of that and when my younger siblings or even my kids go to Altoona that…my name will be a part of it”
The new school building is set to open for the ’20-’21 school year
