Thousands of pounds of beef patties are being recalled because they may be contaminated with purple plastic.

The Agriculture Department says the frozen patties by AdvancePierre Foods, Inc., were produced on November 30, 2018.

The products have a package code of 8334.

They were distributed to various food services. Any service location who may have purchased the product is urged to throw them away or return them.
